Commandant Pankaj Chowdhry of 190VS Battalion CRPF Conferred with Presidents Meritorious Service Medal: On the occasion of the 88th Raising Day of the Central Reserve Police Force, Commandant Pankaj Chowdhry of 190VS Battalion, CRPF has been conferred with the prestigious President’s Meritorious Service Medal in recognition of his distinguished service, exemplary leadership, and unwavering commitment to duty.
A former elite commando of the National Security Guard, Commandant Chowdhry has served with distinction in high-risk counter-terror operations. He has also proudly represented India as part of the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in South Sudan, Africa, where his professionalism and courage in maintaining peace earned him wide appreciation. His career reflects sustained excellence, tactical acumen, and devotion beyond the call of duty.
Throughout his career, Commandant Pankaj Chowdhry has led from the front in some of the most challenging operational areas, earning the respect of his troops and the community alike. Currently, he is responsible for VIP Security and serves as the Chief Security Officer to the Hon’ble Union Home Minister. Known for his tactical acumen, compassion for jawans, and dedication to nation building, he has consistently upheld the motto of CRPF – “Seva and Nishtha”. His selfless service and contribution to maintaining peace and security in the country stand as an inspiration to the entire force.
