DBU organized “Mega Job Fair 2024” at SAS Nagar (Mohali)

SAS Nagar (Mohali) April 3, 2024: Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh in collaboration with District Employment Bureau, Government of Punjab is organizing “Mega Job Fair 2024” on April 3, 2024 at its office DBU Center of Excellence, Emaar Hills Mohali. The main objective of this job fair was to provide employment to the students who have completed their graduation. , welcomed Dr. Sandeep Singh Chairman, Dr. Harsh Sadavarty, Vice Chairman. Special guest Major Harpreet Singh Director Employment Department, Ms. Sukhman Mann Deputy Director Employment and Ms. Rosy Employment Officer were the chief guests of the program.

Honorable Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University Dr. Zora Singh congratulated the organizers for organizing such a big event. He said that the objective of this fair is to give a platform to the passing out students as well as the youth of nearby areas to get selected in the best jobs in their field. Addressing the media, he said that DBU is committed not only for the spread of education but also for the best placement and bright future of the youth. DBU is known for quality education, skill development and holistic training of its students.

Dr. Tajinder Kaur said that it is a matter of great pride that Desh Bhagat University has been organizing this job fair for the last many years, which has provided employment to thousands of students and will provide more employment opportunities in future also.

While sharing the information, Ms. Pooja Kathuria said that more than 1000 candidates had participated in this employment fair, in which 40 companies were invited, major companies of which were Bharti Airtel, JCBL Group, CS Soft Solution, College Dekho, Ivy. Hospital, Axis Bank, Key HR Solution etc. He said around 755 students were shortlisted and eligible candidates were offered a package of Rs 6 lakh per annum.

He also said that the university has an active placement cell throughout the year as placements give an important direction to the students to move ahead in life. Regular placement drives at the university help students choose whether they want to go into the working industry immediately or focus on further degrees and also give them valuable experience of facing interviews with various reputed companies .
