A delegation of pensioners and employees met DC Mohali and SSP Mohali regarding the August 27 bandh call
The delegation informed both the senior officers about the complete pen-letting strike being called by the employees and assured them of carrying out the bandh call peacefully
Mohali, August 25: In connection with the demands of employees and pensioners, the leaders of the joint forum of pensioners and employees related to Mohali district held a meeting with the Deputy Commissioner Mohali and SSP Mohali today. In the meeting, the issues related to the bandh and the reasons for which the bandh call has been given, were made known to both the senior officers and a memorandum was also given in the name of the Chief Minister of Punjab.
The leaders informed the said administrative officers that on August 27, the employees working in various offices will go on a complete pen-letting strike or take leave from their offices. On that day, no one, whether he is a regular employee or working through the contract system, will do his duty.
Giving information in this regard, the conveners of the employee organizations Sukhdev Singh Saini, Tajinder Singh, Punjab Police Pensioners Association state leaders Mahinder Singh Retired Inspector and Manmohan Singh Kahlo told the press that on the day of the bandh, the employees and pensioners belonging to district Mohali will also hold a protest rally in front of the District Administrative Complex, in which a large number of employees and pensioners will participate.
They said that this bandh is a peaceful bandh, law and order will be maintained during this period. No road or market will be closed. They also appealed to the common people not to come to government offices for their work on the bandh day, because all government offices will remain closed on that day in protest.
