E-Waste Collection Drive: A Step Towards a Greener Tomorrow
The Interact Club and Early Act Club of Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 40-C, Chandigarh, organized an e-waste collection drive to encourage environmental responsibility and promote the safe disposal of electronic waste.
Students of the school, along with the Interact Club Advisor, actively participated in the drive by contributing electronic waste items from their homes, including old batteries, damaged chargers, broken wires, and unused electronic gadgets.
Their enthusiastic involvement reflected a shared commitment to protecting the environment and promoting sustainable practices. The collected e-waste was handed over to Rotary Club of Chandigarh on July 30, 2026 for safe recycling and environmentally responsible disposal.
The initiative created awareness about the importance of proper e-waste management and inspired students to become environmentally conscious citizens. The Interact Club and Early Act Club sincerely appreciates the efforts of all the students for making the drive a meaningful success.
Appreciating the wholehearted participation of the students and the commendable efforts of the organizing clubs, the Principal, Mrs. Shama Kukkal, lauded the initiative and stated that such environmentally conscious endeavours instill a sense of civic responsibility and ecological stewardship among young minds.
