What is the real truth behind the ongoing dispute between husband and wife on social media?: The case has taken a new turn after a woman accused her husband of posting a video of their private moments on social media. A complaint has been filed with the Mohali SSP.
At a press conference held today by the Mohali Press Club, the boy’s cousin, Jatinder Singh, and Chandigarh and Haryana High Court lawyer Anil Sagar and lawyer Sumit Sahni stated that after mutual discussions between the girl and the boy, Kamalpreet Singh, they married at a Gurudwara Sahib without the consent of their families and are living separately from their families.
They stated that both the boy and the girl were drug addicts and undergoing treatment at a de-addiction center. They stated that on August 27, 2025, the woman filed a police complaint alleging that her husband and family had uploaded a private video of her on social media and were defaming her. The verdict was delivered on August 28 after mutual consent.
They stated that the girl herself uploaded her private videos and misused social media. He further stated that the girl also accused him of forcing her to sell drugs, but he did not mention this in the FIR, which suggests that all the allegations are baseless, even though an FIR has already been filed against the boy based on the initial complaint.
Advocate Anil Sagar stated that it is incomprehensible why the girl felt the need to hold a press conference while the police are investigating the case. He stated that this is a purely domestic matter, but it has been deliberately made public to defame her own family.
Advocate Sagar stated that we have strong evidence that the girl has been divorced twice for money and has a 4-year-old son. This clearly shows that these cases have been filed solely to blackmail the boy. He also stated that the boy’s family neither intended to defame the girl nor did they make such a private video viral. He said that this press conference was also necessary because a deliberate attempt was being made to defame the boy and his family and all the allegations made by the girl were baseless.
