Shahi-Patwari group wins in Mohali Press Club election: Gurmeet Singh Shahi elected President and Sukhdev Singh Patwari General Secretary.
S.A.S. Nagar, April 4: Today, Shahi-Patwari group was declared the winner in the election of the governing body of Mohali Press Club for the year 2026-27. In this election held under the chairmanship of Chief Election Commissioner Harinder Pal Singh Harry and Election Commissioners Kulwinder Singh Bawa and Gurmeet Singh Randhawa, the election results were announced by the Chief Election Commissioner at around 4.30 pm, in which Shahi-Patwari group was declared the winner.
During this time, the Chief Election Commissioner and the Election Commissioners elected 9 office bearers of the Shahi-Patwari panel – President Gurmeet Singh Shahi, General Secretary Sukhdev Singh Patwari, Senior Vice President Manjit Singh Chana, Vice President Vijay Pal and Madam Neelam Thakur, Organizing Secretary Vijay Kumar, Joint Secretary Dr. Ravinder Kaur and Sandeep Bindra and Cashier Rajiv Taneja was declared the winner of the new body.

On this occasion, General Secretary Sukhdev Singh Patwari, while expressing special gratitude to the Election Commission, said that the Commission carried out the assigned responsibility in a very peaceful atmosphere and with dedication.
He further stated that the biggest task before the Mohali Press Club is to secure a location from the government, for which all possible efforts will be made in collaboration with the Mohali Press Club and the entire journalist community. During this, various members of the club congratulated the newly elected team and welcomed them with flower garlands and distributed laddus in joy.
Finally, the Election Commission thanked all the members for their cooperation in the election of the club.
