SGHSSPS40_ORGANIZED SEMINAR ON LEGAL AWARENESS CAMPAIGN FOR THE ELIMINATION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN: A seminar on the Legal Awareness Campaign for the Elimination of Violence Against Women was organized at Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 40-C, Chandigarh, under the able leadership of Principal Mrs. Shama Kukal, in collaboration with the school’s Legal Literacy Club.,
Advocate Mr. Sudhir Kumar Pandey from the Punjab and Haryana High Court sensitized the students about various legal provisions related to domestic violence, the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, the Dowry Prohibition Act, and the POCSO, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences, Act.
The students participated enthusiastically and engaged in an interactive session, clearing their doubts and gaining valuable legal knowledge., Principal Mrs. Shama Kukal appreciated the initiative of the Legal Literacy Club and emphasized the importance of such awareness campaigns in ending violence against women.
