Plantation in two government schools of Chandigarh on the fourth day of “Ek Paudha Shaheed Captain Vikram Batra Ke Naam” campaign.
Under the week-long campaign “Ek Paudha Shaheed Captain Vikram Batra Ke Naam” organized by World Himachali Organization (Registered) in the memory of martyr Captain Vikram Batra, plantation programs were organized in two government schools of Chandigarh – Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 37-B and Sector 37-D on the fourth day today.
These programs were presided over by the President of World Himachali Organization, Mr. Amit Rana. Special guests of the program were martyr Captain Vikram Batra’s father Mr. GL Batra, GMCH – 32 Hospital Director Dr. Ashok Atri and the organization’s Chairperson Asha Jaswal were specially present.
On this occasion, Mr. GL Batra addressed the students and gave the message of taking inspiration from the life of martyr Captain Vikram Batra. He inspired the children to develop a sense of patriotism, dedication, and respect for teachers.
In his address, special guest Dr. Ashok Atri said that planting trees in the name of martyr Captain Vikram Batra is not only a meaningful effort to honor his martyrdom, but it is also an important step to make future generations aware of the environment. Addressing the students, he said, “Hard work is the real essence of life. Just as a plant needs care and time to grow, similarly success in life can be achieved only with hard work and dedication.” He called upon the students to plant as many trees as possible and contribute to the conservation of nature.
At the end of the program, the President of the organization, Mr. Amit Rana expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the headmistress of the school, all the teachers and students and wished all the students a bright future.
Other prominent members of the organization were also present in the program, including General Secretary Sunny Rajput Meenakshi Thakur, Vice Presidents Rakesh Sharma and Suresh Rana, Office Secretary Janak Rana, Secretary Rajpal Dogar and Social Media Secretary Ankaj Dadwal.⸻
