Mohali Press Club will soon be established in Rakari building: Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal
* Announced financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh to Mohali Press Club.

Mohali, December 19 – After meeting Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, a new building will soon be constructed at a suitable place for the Press Club in Mohali.
This assurance was given by Punjab Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal here today. He said that until a space for the club is found, temporary arrangements will be made in a government building. On this occasion, he also distributed identity cards to the members of Mohali Press Club and the team of Mohali Press Club. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal was also given an Honorary Eye Card by the press. On this occasion, he also announced financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh to the club.
While talking to journalists, S. Dhaliwal said that lack of space for press club in Mohali city is a sad issue. Efforts will be made to solve this soon. He said that today in the cabinet sub-committee meeting, the issues of farmers organizations of Punjab were discussed, which will be resolved soon.
He said that in the last two and a half years, the government has provided employment to the unemployed youth of Punjab and this process will continue to eliminate unemployment. He also said that the issue of non-registration of lands falling under Lal Dora in Punjab will also be resolved soon. He further said that camps will be organized in every village for the distribution of family lands and the problems of the people will be resolved.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Dr. Sunny Singh Ahluwalia said that the press of Mohali is pro-people and the demands of the press club should be fulfilled. He said that till the government land is decided, Mohali Press Club should be given space in any government building, so that the journalist community can work under one roof.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohali Press Club General Secretary Sukhdev Singh Patwari said that Mohali city is a well-known name in the international press, but due to the absence of any press club in Mohali, journalists have to face a lot of problems.
He said that the press acts as a bridge between the government and the public and journalists face problems due to lack of such basic facilities. He demanded from Cabinet Minister Dhaliwal that space should soon be provided for the Press Club in Mohali.
