Mohali Press Club elections: Election Commission released election program
Mohali, March 24 ( ): The Election Commission has today released the election schedule for the annual elections of Mohali Press Club to be held on March 30. Election officers Dharampal Upashakh and Kulwinder Singh Bawa were present in the meeting chaired by Chief Electoral Officer Harinder Pal Singh Harry. Releasing the schedule, he said that nomination papers for the elections to be held on March 30, 2024 will be received by 10 am on March 26, 2024.

Can be taken and the time for filing nominations has been kept from 11 am to 1 pm while the time for withdrawal of nominations has been fixed till 3 pm on March 27, 2024. Scrutiny of nomination forms will take place on March 27, 2024 from 3 pm to 4 pm. The election process will be conducted on March 30, 2024 from 10 am to 2 pm at Mohali Press Club, Kothi No. 384, Phase-4, Mohali.

Whereas the election results will be declared on 30 March 2024 at 4.00 pm. If the office bearers are elected unanimously or unopposed by 27.03.2024 then the results can be declared after 4 pm on the same day. Annual Fee and No Due Certificate must be obtained from the Club Manager before filling the enrollment form. And a refundable fee of Rs 800 will be charged while submitting an enrollment form.

The Election Commission also informed that the club members will have to pay all their dues by 10.00 am on 26.3.2024 for the right to vote. No candidate contesting the Press Club election will be able to propose among himself the name of any other candidate contesting the election. Eligible members of the Club can nominate only one candidate.
