Women, children and youth performed Gidda and Bolly

Mohali Press Club celebrated Teej Da Mela with great pomp at the Community Center in Sector-70.
In the fair, women, children and young women of Sector-70 kept the program alive for 5 hours by presenting Gidda, Bhangra, solo dance and choreography. On this occasion, Bibi Jaswant Kaur, wife of constituency MLA Kulwant Singh and District Planning Board Chairman Prabhjot Kaur attended the program as chief guests and they mesmerized the audience by presenting Gidda song and dance.
During this, Bibi Jaswant Kaur said that the preparation of women and children of Sector-70 reflects their passion for culture, which is evident from the presentation of their program.
On this occasion, Bibi Prabhjot Kaur said that every year the program of women of Sector-70 is better than the previous year and this time the performance of 35 groups shows how hard everyone has prepared. On this occasion, she also felicitated all the teams.
During this, Mohali Press Club felicitated Bibi Jaswant Kaur wife of MLA Kulwant Singh, Bibi Prabhjot Kaur Chairman of District Planning Board Mohali, Pragati Jagga MD Cooperative Bank Mohali, Kuldeep Kaur Tiwana Principal, Councilor Gurpreet Kaur, Councilor Aruna Sharma, Councilor Ramandeep Kaur, Bibi Charanjit Kaur eminent personalities by giving them medals and flower garlands.
On this occasion, Club President Sukhdev Singh Patwari and General Secretary Gurmeet Singh Shahi thanked the guests and artists, who made the entire program successful with full preparation.
The program was organized in two parts. Children presented programs for one and a half hours and women presented programs for two and a half hours. The Gidda teams included Gidda by Rinki Group, ‘Jhanjhra Mangawaiyan Muktsar To’ by Lakshita Group, ‘Baba Ve Kala Marur’ by Jassi & Party, Bhangra by Sukhman Group, Choreography by Mannat Group, Gidda by Arsh Group, Gidda by Seema Group, ”Budha Aashiq’ solo by Sobha Gauriya, Gidda by Sukhwinder Bhullar Group, Group Performance by Harpreet Group, Bhangra by Kamal Group, Jhoomar by Kirti & Ruby Party, Dance on song ‘Akh Mastani’ by Parneet Group, Gidda by Rimpi Group, Gidda by Seema & Manpreet Group and Gunjan also performed songs and dances while Simran performed dance on ‘Kala Doriya’. Apart from this the young girls performed ‘Bhangra Pauga Heavyweight Kudiya’, ‘Kudi Phatte Chakdi’ by Seerat Group, ‘Haryanvi Geet’ by Kofi. During this time the responsibility of conducting the stage was performed very effectively by Madam Gurpreet Bhullar and Varinderpal Kaur.
On this occasion members of the governing body of the club Sushil Garcha, Manjit Singh Chana, Rajiv Taneja, Dr. Ravinder Kaur, Vijay Pal, Vijay Kumar, Amarjit Singh, Kulwinder Singh Bawa, Baljeet Marwaha, Harinder Pal Singh Harry, Amandeep Gill, Mangat Saidpur, Kulwant Kotli, Jaswinder Singh, Sandeep Bindra, Rajiv Vashisht, Dharampal Upshakh, famous playwright Anita Sabdish, Harminder Nagpal, Maya Ram, Sukhwinder Shan, Iqbal Singh, Manager Jagdish Sharda, Narinder etc besides members of MIG Association were also present. President R.P. Kamboj, Manjit Singh, L.I.G. ASO President Santokh Singh, Vice President Manjit Singh, Ashok Kumar, Satpal Ghuman, Sukhwinder Kaur, Kamaljit Oberoi, Kiran Tandon, Khushveer Kaur, Preetma Devi, Sukhwinder Kaur, Narinder Kaur, Neelam Dhuriya, Neelam Chopra, Sushma, Ritu, Surinder Kaur, Pushpa and Mrs. Ghuman were present. Thus, this ‘Teej Teej Da’ fair concluded successfully with the promise of meeting again next year.
