During a press conference at Mohali Press Club here today, Freudenberg Nok Mazdoor Ekta Union (AITUC), under the leadership of Punjab AITUC General Secretary Nirmal Singh Dhaliwal and Vice President Vinod Chugh, said that the management committed fraud in the name of transferring Freudenberg Nok Private Limited. Is.

    In Morinda, preparations are being made to terminate the jobs of about 600 contract workers and rob them of their livelihood by locking them up illegally. Not only this, about three thousand family members of the workers are being pushed towards starvation.

    During this, while mentioning the crisis created by the company on the workers, the above mentioned leaders said that the owners of the company are illegally closing this important and profitable industry of Basma village and transferring the machinery to other states. The management is not giving any assurance regarding the jobs of the workers.

    From which it is clear that 600 employees will have to be retrenched. He said that most of the workers in this company are young men and women from nearby villages, who will become unemployed due to this incident in the company.

    Despite being aware of the entire situation, the Punjab Government and the Labor Department are not at all concerned about the displacement of workers and no legal action is being taken against the company. Due to which it is suspected that all this is happening with the consent of the government.

    The organization has announced that if the Punjab government, labor department and management do not protect the jobs of the workers, then a huge protest rally will be taken out in front of the company in Basma village on January 29, 2024 with the cooperation of the people of the area.
    Apart from the above, Freudenberg Mazdoor Union AITUC President Kamaldeep Saini, General Secretary Prince Sharma, Press Secretary Sohan Lal, Manpreet Singh, Baljit Singh, Sarabjit Singh and Satnam Singh were present on this occasion.
