Councilor started two-day cricket tournament with SHO in Sector 39 Today, a two-day cricket tournament organized by the Youth Sports Cricket Club in Sector 39 was started by local councilor Mrs. Gurbaksh Rawat and police station in-charge Mr. Narinder Patial. The councilor said that this tournament has been possible due to the efforts of the Resident Welfare Association of Sector 39 C, which has created a platform for the youth of Sector 39 to play and formed the Youth Sports Cricket Club.
The youth of Sector 39 often requested for a bigger playground where cricket could be played. He told that with the cooperation of the club, this ground of Sector 39 has been completely cleaned and a cricket pitch has been made so that the players can play here. About 45 teams are participating in this tournament. The final match of this tournament will be held on Sunday evening and prizes will be distributed to the winners.
The station in-charge advised the youth to stay away from drugs and follow traffic rules. Narinder Patial said that one should wear helmet not to avoid challan but for one’s own safety. Rawat said that such tournaments should continue so that the youth can hone their skills and play for the Indian cricket team in the future. On the occasion, Haribhushan Sharma, Satnam Singh Satti, Sukhnandan, Rajinder Rawat, Babu Lal, Sudhir Seni, Ankush, Shiv Lal, Shanti Thakur, Gogi, Inder Singh, Narinder Sandhu, and special guests Dalvinder Seni, Roshanlal Badoni, Rakesh Barotia, were present from the club. Pankaj Gupta, Inderpal Singh, Nimmi Sharma, Saroj Rana, Anu, Pardeep Mahajan etc. were present.
