Chandigarh Mosques, Madrasas & Church representatives relieved and happy after meeting Arun Sood Chandigarh, 23 July

During the ongoing process of demolition notices sent by the administration, estate office, forest department & corporation to religious places which are constructed upon Govt lands., Over 100 representatives of Mosques, Madrasas & a Church from Chandigarh held a meeting with Ex BJP President & Ex Mayor Arun Sood at Dargah Sakhi Sarvar, Sector 29.

At this occasion Javed Ansari President state BJP minority morcha, Amzad Khan ex Morcha President , President dargah 29 sector Asgar Ali Shah , Tajinder Singh Sran, Adv Brajeshwar Singh Jaswal, Chand Miyan,Pastor P Esaai from Maulijagran Church, Anwar Siddiqui, lucky Malik, Sadaqat Ali,
Ayub Khan, Mumtaz,
Suktare Mehmud, Mushir Ahmad, Shiekh Kadri, Mohd Noushid Khan
and over 100 other members of Muslim community were present on the occasion.
Committees brought many facts in front of Sood regarding these religious places, one dargah is around 100 years old. Few mosques have got the land registered in the name of trusts and societies. Sood urged the committees to bring all valid documents in support of their claims and asked Adv Brajeshwar Singh Jaswal to help the committees for their replies to the notices.

Sood further said he will take a delegation of two representatives from Hindu, Sikh, Muslim & Christian community to meet the administrator and request him to regularise these religious places and alott/ earmark land on concessional rates. Sood said BJP believes in protecting religious places of all faiths and will do everything possible to save all these places in Chandigarh. After Sood ‘s assurance about saving the religious places there was a feeling of relief and happiness among the Muslim community gathered at dargah.
