    ‘Pritam Spiritual Foundation’ has been working for the last 32 years with the objective of rehabilitation of residents affected by militancy in Jammu and Poonch region. In this series of social welfare works, artificial limbs have been given to 12,000 people who lost their limbs due to explosions in mines and bullets of terrorists.

    From the year 1989 to 14 November 2022, this 51st camp was organized for fitting artificial limbs and these activities will continue. Expressing these views, Prof. Jagbir Singh President Pritam Spiritual Foundation addressing the media at Sardar Hari Singh Memorial English School Phase-8B Industrial Area.

    Retired General Rajinder Kahlon and social activist Jagjit Kaur Vicky Kahlon were also present with him. He said that apart from Poonch and Rajouri areas, Naushihara, Doda, Uri and Baramulla are the areas where most of the residents have lost their limbs. According to Prof. Jagbir Singh, terrorists lay mines around their farms or near villages and when these people go to do their daily chores or work in the fields, they get attacked. Most people lose their lives in this attack while the injured people become disabled.

    He said that apart from their rehabilitation, the main objective of the organization is national integration so that information and language can be exchanged apart from India’s multiculturalism. In response to the question, Prof. Jagbir Singh said that Jaipur’s organization ‘Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti’ – ‘Jaipur Foot’ has full cooperation in this process of organ transplant.
    Moreover, the main objective of this camp is to unite them with the culture of India and people of other states to save them from the strategy of our neighboring country Pakistan against India. In this program, the doctors of IVY Hospital Mohali conducted medical examination of all the people who came and Lions Club Supreme took administrative responsibility in the whole program. He clearly said that he does not want to take any credit for this work because social service brings peace to his soul and he does not make it for fame or profit. Vicky Kahls said that the institution has so far operated the eyes of more than 2400 people and married 8 needy girls. Apart from other officials of the organization, retired Colonel SS Randhawa, Major General JS Sidhu, Brigadier Grewal and others were present during this period.
