A special musical evening was organized by the Ancient Art Center today in the ML Kausar Auditorium located at 35 of the Ancient Art Center. In which renowned flute player Pandit Santosh Sant, who came from Mumbai, mesmerized the audience with his melodious presentation. His talented disciple Harshita Giri also accompanied him.

Born Santosh Sant’s father was a famous musician of Gwalior Gharana. Santosh’s music shows a wonderful combination of traditional music and new age music. To promote and spread this art of music, he established an organization named Swarvenu dedicated to his guru Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia ji. Through which he is fulfilling his lifelong dream by imparting flute playing education.
Pandit Santosh Sant started his program with Raga Yaman in which he easily connected the audience with his unmatched presentation of Aalap Jod and Jhala.
After this, after presenting a beautiful Bandish in Rupak Taal, he mesmerized the audience by presenting Bandish decorated in Drut Ek Taal.
Taking the program forward, he concluded the event with a composition of Madhya Laya Teen Taal composed in Raga Hansdhwani. After listening to the next composition decorated with Drut Teen Taal, the audience greatly appreciated the melodious tunes of the flute. The audience was overwhelmed by these sweet waves of music.
At the end of the program, Pandit Santosh Sant enthralled the audience with his beautiful presentation of the tune composed by Mishra Shivranjani. Along with him, renowned tabla player Mr. Pranshu Chaturlal, who had come from Delhi, made the occasion well by providing accompaniment and along with this, Harshita Giri, a talented disciple of Pandit Santosh Sant, made the teacher’s teachings meaningful by giving accompaniment and got the applause of the audience.
At the end of the program, Registrar of the Center Dr. Shobha Kausar and Secretary Mr. Sajal Kausar honored the artists by giving them Uttariya and memento. Shri Sajal Kausar told that on 27th April, a presentation of Tabla playing will be presented by two brilliant disciples who are getting education in Tabla playing under the discipleship of Punjab Gharana’s Tabla Guru Pandit Sushil Jain.
