On the fourth day of the campaign “Ek Paudha Shaheed Captain Vikram Batra Ke Naam” (One Plant in the Name of Martyr Captain Vikram Batra)

On the fourth day of the campaign “Ek Paudha Shaheed Captain Vikram Batra Ke Naam” (One Plant in the Name of Martyr Captain Vikram Batra), plantation of trees was organised in two government schools of Chandigarh.

Under the week-long campaign “Ek Paudha Shaheed Captain Vikram Batra Ke Naam” organised by World Himachali Organisation (Regd.) in the memory of martyr Captain Vikram Batra, plantation programmes were organised in a government school of Chandigarh – Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 12, Chandigarh on the fifth day today. These programmes were presided over by the President of World Himachali Organisation, Mr. Amit Rana. Special guests of the programme were martyr Captain Vikram Batra’s father Mr. GL Batra, PGI Director Dr. Pankaj Rai (IAS) and the organisation’s Chairperson Asha Jaswal.

On this occasion, Mr. GL Batra, while addressing the students, gave the message of taking inspiration from the life of martyr Captain Vikram Batra. He inspired the children to develop a sense of patriotism, dedication and respect for the teachers.

Special guest Dr. Pankaj Rai (IAS) said in his address that planting trees in the name of martyr Captain Vikram Batra is not only a tribute to his family but also a tribute to his family. It is not only a meaningful effort to honour martyrdom, but it is also an important step to make future generations aware of the environment. Addressing the students, he said, “Life can be made successful only by bringing hard work and dedication into life. Just as a plant needs care and time to grow, similarly success in life can be achieved only with hard work and dedication.” He called upon the students to plant as many trees as possible and contribute to the conservation of nature.

At the end of the program, the President of the organization, Mr. Amit Rana, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the headmistress of the school, all the teachers and students and wished all the students a bright future.

Other prominent members of the organization were also present in the program, including General Secretary Sunny Rajput, Vice Presidents Rakesh Sharma and Suresh Rana, Secretary Rajpal Dogar and Social Media Incharge Neelam Thakur and Secretary Ankaj Dadwal.
