    Keyboard recital marked 295th Monthly baithak of Pracheen Kala Kendra Pt. Vijay Chandra performed classical music on electronic synthesizer

    The 295th monthly baithak of the Kendra was organized by at its M.L. Koser Indoor Auditorium at sector-35 complex from 6:30 pm onwards.

    The programe featuring Pandit Vijay Chandra from Allahabad who was not only the name but indeed an impressive identity amongst the innumerable genre of classical music lovers. He was born in a musical family. He selected unconventional instrument –electronic synthesizer for his classical passion.

    Apart from initial training from his parents he got intense training from Gurus like Ustad Munnu Khan, , Sh. Jinderpal Singh and Sh. Kamla Bose. Now he became the first Indian artist who plays Indian classical music on electronic Synthesizer. On this occasion, Registrar of the Kendra Dr. Shobha Koser was also present.

    Pandit Vijay Chandra started the program with Raga Kirwani with Vilambit slow pace bandish followed by another composition set to Rupak taal. Pandit Vijay Chandra is an artist who made an exceptional performances on electronic synthesizer with complex classical ragas . He is empanelled artist of ICCR , Akashwani and Doordarshan.

    He concluded the program with a fast-paced bandish set to teen taal and was well appreciated by the audience. Concluding with a melodious dhun , Pandit Vijay Chandra received a lot of applause with flawless coordination by renowned tabla player Rafuuddin Sabri who added the charm to the concert by providing excellent accompaniment. At the end of the program the artists were honored with mementos and Uttariya.
