New executive of Resident Welfare Association elected unanimously

Incidents of theft and problem of stray animals were discussed in the meeting.

New Chandigarh. Elections of Resident Welfare Association of Sector 6, B Block of Ecocity 1, New Chandigarh were concluded. Election Presiding Officer Jaswant Thakur said that in the General Body meeting, the new executive of RWA was unanimously elected for two years. In the new executive, Kuldeep Singh Saini has been elected President, Hemant Chauhan Senior Vice President, Jasveer Chahal Vice President, Dr. Hitendra Thakur General Secretary, Nitika Chandel Joint Secretary, Jagdish Pathania Cashier and Neelam Thakur Joint Cashier. Similarly, Jaswant Thakur has been nominated as Chairman, Santosh Kumar as Senior Vice Chairman and Jaspal Singh as Vice Chairman unanimously. In the meeting, Kulwant Singh, Sarita Katoch, Rajendra Dodd, Girdhari Lal, Ishwar and Subhash Yadav have been made executive members.

Association head Kuldeep Saini said that in view of the increasing incidents of theft in the colony, the local police was contacted several times but no satisfactory solution could be found. Therefore, RWA has decided that all the vacant plots on the outer side of B Block will be fenced so that the residents can be free from incidents of theft and stray animals. In the executive meeting, it was also decided to contact GMADA regarding the increasing number of stray animals and dogs in the colony and to install mercury lights in parks and big squares.
