    Sukhdev Patwari was elected president and Gurmeet Shahi general secretary in Mohali Press Club elections.
    SAS Nagar, March 27 (): Patwari-Shahi faction emerged victorious in the election of the governing body of ‘Mohali Press Club’ for the year 2024-25. It is noteworthy that in this election, nomination papers were filed only by the Patwari-Gurmeet Shahi panel, whereas no other candidate or panel had filed nomination papers, during which the Election Commission had declared Sukhdev Singh Patwari as the president.
    In the program announced by the three-member Election Commission for the elections, the Patwari-Shahi faction was declared the unopposed winner after the last time for withdrawal of nomination papers at 3 pm today.
    Chief Election Commissioner Harinder Pal Singh Harry, Election Commissioner Dharampal Upashak and Kulwinder Singh Bawa said that in these elections Sukhdev Singh Patwari President, General Secretary Gurmeet Singh Shahi, S. Vice President Sushil Garcha, Vice President Rajiv Taneja and Dharam Singh, Jathebandak Secretary Madam Neelam Thakur, Joint Secretaries Vijay Kumar and Maya Ram and Finance Secretary Manjit Singh Chana have been declared winners. The Election Commission thanked all the members for their cooperation in the elections of the club.

    On this occasion, Chairman Sukhdev Singh Patwari thanked the Election Commission and said that the Commission fulfilled the assigned responsibility in a very peaceful environment and with dedication. He further said that the biggest task before the Mohali Press Club is to get a place for the Press Club from the government, for which every possible effort will be made by taking the Mohali Press Club and the entire journalist community along. During this, various members of the club congratulated the newly selected team and happily welcomed them by garlanding them and distributing laddus.
