Sukadan leader Gyan Singh Ghotra cremated with state honours.
Mohali, Jan 7 (): Sukadan leader Gyan Singh Ghotra, who served as the manager of Mohali Press Club for almost five years, was cremated with state honors at Balongi (Mohali) crematorium today. During this, the Air Force contingent offered the tricolor salute and floral tribute to his mortal remains. He died on January 5th.
It is noteworthy that S. Gyan Singh Ghotra was 82 years old and was suffering from diabetes and knee problems for the last 6 years. After serving in the Air Force, he lived in MIG Independent, Sector-70, Mohali and was also the President of the Residential Association of the area for a long time.
Sukadan leader Gyan Singh Ghotra was a lively person and a popular personality of the area. He is survived by his two sons, two daughters and wife Raj Kaur. The demise of such a vivacious and beloved person has caused irreparable loss to his family, relatives, friends and Mohali Press Club.
Meanwhile, Mohali Press Club General Secretary Sukhdev Singh Patwari, Senior Vice President Manjeet Singh Chana and Cashier Shri Rajeev Taneja offered dough as a tribute to the departed soul. Shri Patwari said that from the time he came to Mohali till the end, Ghotra ji remained personally associated with him and stood by him in every sorrow and happiness.
