Today Utkarsh Global Foundation Punjab has organized a special program based on women’s empowerment and health hygiene

Utkarsh Global Foundation is working on various parameters like environmental awareness campaigns, women health care and empowerment, animal welfare etc.

State Coordinator Mr. Daljit Singh said that so far more than 100 programs have been conducted in Punjab in the last two years in collaboration with the Department of Environment and Climate Change, Punjab Pollution Control Board and various municipal corporations and councils. Majorly saying no to single use of plastic, tree plantation, cleanliness drive, distribution of free cloth bags, unique sanitary napkins etc.

Today this campaign is being run by Dr. Parul Jaiswal (MBBS, MD Gynecologist and Surgeon) on the topic Talk about periods and personal hygiene for women aged 15 to 50 years.

More than 100 women from slum area of Shaheed Udham Singh Colony, SAS Nagar Mohali participated and benefited from the program. Apart from this, many awareness programs will be run in the coming times. How can a woman keep herself clean and stay away from misconceptions (taboos) regarding this topic?

Slum area head Mr. Sonu Kumar ji (active member of political party), his wife Mrs. Darshana ji (candidate MC) were also present along with the community members.

Tea and snacks were also served after the program.
