Kavi Darbar organized by Ontario Friends Club and Jagat Punjabi Sabha
Preparations for the 12th World Punjabi Conference to be held on July 17, 18 and 19, 2026 are complete

Ontario Friends Club (OFC) and Jagat Punjabi Sabha organized an impressive Kavi Darbar in Brampton. More than 40 poets, literature lovers and members participated in this literary event.
Santokh Singh Sandhu and Halima Sadia conducted the Kavi Darbar in a smooth and effective manner.
Tahir Aslam Gora, Sujan Singh Sujan, Surinder Singh Soor, Dhillon Sahib, Amarinder Singh, Balihar Singh Balli, Arya Ji, Dr. Ramni Batra, Tripta Sodhi, Rupinder Kaur Sandhu, Balwinder Chatha, Mandeep Mangat, Happy Mangat, Malkit Singh Johal, Bhupinder Singh Bajwa, Gurnam Singh Todarwal, Tarlok Singh Kahlon, Gurpreet Singh Dhillon, Geeta, Babar Nasrula, Hafiz Khan, Halima Sadia, Prabhjot Singh Rathore, Tajinder Singh Cheema, Mukhinder Sodhi and other poets and writers captivated the audience by presenting their works.

Patron of the society Ajaib Singh Chatha extended greetings on Father’s Day and also discussed ways to make the 12th World Punjabi Conference to be held on 17, 18 and 19 July 2026 a success. The attendees shared their ideas to make the conference a success and assured full cooperation. Along with this, enthusiasm was also expressed for the Father’s Day event to be celebrated on 28 June 2026.
Malkit Singh Aujla, Bhupinder Singh Bajwa, Gurpreet Singh Dhillon and Sardul Singh Thiara were present in the presidium of the Kavi Darbar. On this occasion, Sardul Singh Thiara informed that the poet who secured the first place in the Kavi Darbar to be held during the conference on the evening of 18 July will be given a cash prize of $ 500 by Tarlok Singh Kahlon.
