Beautiful presentation of Punjabi culture and social awareness through Giddha by the students of Government High School Daun: Giving information about the Republic Day celebrations celebrated across the country yesterday, the Headmistress of Government High School Daun, Mrs. Kiran Kumari, said that under the able leadership of District Education Officer Madam Mrs. Ginni Duggal, the students of Daun School gave a mesmerizing performance of traditional Punjabi Giddha at the district level function on the occasion of Republic Day on 26th January, which remained a special attraction for the audience.

Through the performance and speeches of the famous folk dance Giddha of Punjab, the students gave a strong social message against our traditional culture, mother game Kabaddi and the scourge of drugs. For this folk dance, where all the students worked hard, the school’s guide art craft teacher Mrs. Kanwaljit Kaur, computer faculty Mrs. Anjali Jain, social studies teacher Mrs. Rupinder Kaur and Mrs. Komal Gupta worked tirelessly to make this wonderful performance a success. The chief guest, high officials, teachers, parents and guests present at the event openly appreciated the art of the students and wished them well for the future.
